The Baroque church still seen today was built in 1747 at the site of the former cloister of the 'Greek' nunnery of Veszprémvölgy. However, the church has never been consecrated until recently as the building Jesuit order was suppressed by Pope Clement XIV in 1773. The stones of the church were partly used for the construction of thechurches in Vörösberény and Padrag. The ruined church was used as a storehouse and barn in the 19 th century, and only it received a roof in 1960. The renovated and consecrated church was opened to the public in 2011.
